Meet the Founder
Tiffany Haas is the Founder of Haas Strategies, a government affairs consulting firm that helps financial services organizations navigate Washington, shape policy, and secure outcomes that advance their competitiveness.
With more than 15 years of experience, Tiffany advises clients on complex, politically challenging issues and delivers bipartisan results at senior levels of government. Most recently, she led government affairs for the Financial Services Forum, representing the nation’s largest banks and their CEOs. In that role, she helped advance the industry’s post-crisis reputation strategy and led advocacy around five CEO hearings involving U.S. GSIBs. Her work has contributed to significant regulatory and legislative outcomes, including efforts related to the Basel III Endgame, the GSIB surcharge, leverage and margining requirements, and improvements to digital assets legislation through the GENIUS Act and the CLARITY Act. She has built and led diverse coalitions of trade associations, companies, and nonprofits to advance priorities across both regulatory and legislative forums.
Earlier in her career, Tiffany served as the lead Democrat at the Consumer Bankers Association, supporting retail banking priorities for a membership that included more than 70 banks. She also worked in the U.S. House of Representatives for Congressman Donald Payne, Jr., serving as legislative counsel and communications director. Tiffany has held legal, communications, and field roles with the Democratic National Committee and the Obama presidential re-election campaign. This combination of policy, political, legal, and communications experience enables her to provide clients with practical, cross-functional counsel and a holistic approach to advocacy needed in today’s Washington environment.
Tiffany has been named to Washingtonian's Most Influential People, The Hill's Top Lobbyists, and Women in Housing and Finance's 40 Under 40. Tiffany earned her B.A. in political communication from The George Washington University where she was captain of the Division I gymnastics team, graduated magna cum laude, and was accepted into Phi Beta Kappa. She earned her J.D. from Marquette University Law School where she served as Editor-in-Chief of the Marquette Sports Law Review.
